My rotract trip began in a very unexpected way. Even though I joined the club in 2^Nd Year, I am an inactive member for all periods of time. However, I joined again in the following semester to the Avenue Community Service, which I believe is clearly my fate. Even more unexpected, I saw a leaflet for a project that did not even have a name, but to develop a village in Kurunegala, near my hometown. Because I can go there easily, I think of joining. During the interview, I met two people, there were other people, but only two spoke, Wikihi and Vihanga, which later became a reason for an unforgettable turning point in my life. My sincere gratitude for both of them and Dimithri and Dinithi for appointing me as the project coordinator of the extraordinary project “Ignite Sri Lanka”. This project has a special place in my heart because it makes me who I am today, let me grow and fill my life with beautiful memories.

Applying for boards, is another thing that I have never thought of, until my friends encourage me to do it. I know this will be a challenge because I am in 4^Th year with heavy workload. Once again, I want to thank the VP and the director for maintaining trust in me. After being appointed as a co-sign, I can spend my last year at university with a lot of joy not as before. My extraordinary co-trading, Dinananga, Ravindu and VP Pabamini, became more than just a friend to feel like my own family. Together we do the extraordinary things, guiding our beautiful members who make everything possible. It is fun to watch three extraordinary projects “Ignite Sri Lanka 1.0”, “Swabasamudra 2.0” and “Ignite Sri Lanka 2.0”.

Finally, I was able to end my Rotract journey, along with my university’s life which was filled with unforgettable memories thanks to the great people I met. I hope our inheritance will continue in the next term of office with new members. Hopefully our club will shine more than before. Thank you Rotract for giving me a great opportunity to find out who I am, improve my skills and give me a new identity.
