Time passed quickly! That’s more than facts! A truth that we all still try to understand in a world full of worldly pleasure!

Being a Rotaractor for more than two years, I feel that it is an undeniable fact to recall my own words with words and phrases with phrases when we are getting closer to the end of another tortic voyage from day to day.

For each scholar, the first year reflects the beginning of a new life. For me, it’s the same as me motivating myself to join several clubs at our university. Then came the big word “Rotaract” into my mind! Why don’t I try it? I thought again and again. Even I see how my friends have been dedicated to our Rotaract Club members from the projects that lead to the director. To mention one, that’s RTR. Yashodha Weerasekara. Then the next big question comes! “What way will I choose?” And I answered by choosing an International Service Avenue because I wanted to embrace every breath of international service. At that time, I was a beginner and didn’t know anything! To season, I struggled a lot to balance my academics and these reasons did not allow me to become an active member to Rotatomorrow 3.0 trigger the sky.

Yes, it’s really a life -changing life for individuals like me! Join as one of the editor of the competition committee named Soyuru PiyaphathHaving privileges to realize how things are working at the club for the first time. Here, I have to mention some people who support me in abundance: RTR. Lanka Muhandiram, and RTR. Chathauka de Silva. Strangely, we became a winning team for extraordinary performance at the night award ceremony.

With a victory like that, I stepped into Rotaract International Year 23-24 with a strong decision to feel what it means to be in Is Avenue. Interestingly, I was fortunate to know the co-Sutradara who had just been appointed from the beginning, RTR. Chanumi Manathunga and RTR. Subodha Rajakaruna. One time, they delivered a message that said that they needed someone to make a leaflet or information, I sent a text back to reach out and it was not to highlight myself but to understand the importance of responsibility. In addition, there is a pillar of motivation and other support: RTR. Coated by Nikagoda, ignoring the Vice President Is Avenue. His presence always guides me to achieve more without self -doubt.

The first is the experience of coming into my life from a combination of 1.0, a hybrid conference opened for all local and foreign rotaractors. There, I was again chosen to play the role of the editor to realize how needed it was! I will say that from here I started running IS races that marked several milestones in various initiatives namely, Anantham, Kindness Culinary, Merry Zoomas, Amisphere, Cric’eve, Anatolian Serendipity, We Care, and Dhara 2.0.

There is something else to be mentioned and it was appointed as one of my Avenue team leaders. Thus, I met a group of high enthusiasm as my co -ls: RTR. Lihini Ranasinghe, Rtr. Thanuj Abeyratne, and RTR. Sevni Jayasinghe. With a position to come responsibility, therefore, we are given full authority to decide what we will do and gradually the initiative mentioned above is executed highlighting international services and understanding.

Next is another novel and an interesting experience and it works on Rota Tomorrow 4.0! I still believe that I made the right decision to join the event committee as an editor and that made me meet many TLS from all other paths.

RI Year 24-25

As I mentioned, time passed! This is like a high -speed train that gives someone the highest excitement! You might ask about how it is to do with me! Well … it’s not a secret! When this new chapter is ready to be launched, I get the privilege to be chosen as a co-sign for International Service Avenue together with RTR. Lihini Ranasinghe and as two people, we have the opportunity to work with an energetic soul that is none other than RTR. Himaz Faizal, who faced the Vice President Is Avenue. With our unity and strength, 5 initiatives (combined 2.0, diverse, we care 2.0, cross -border harmony, and echos from Ceylon) are executed creating an ideal platform for virtuality and physical. Besides all this, don’t you feel that there are many who support us? Yes, here! I will say that they are a group of souls that touch our hearts with trust, dedication, enthusiasm, and friendship. This made me introduce not only our team leaders but also extraordinary Avenue members. Therefore, first -first I will mention the leaders of our team Anuji, Chamodya, Kareema, and Pruthivi. As individuals, they have their unique skills that give us additional assistance when dealing with various situations. Sometimes, I feel that I don’t have much time to interact with them because they balance all the items but I appreciate every memory that we all become part of it. Crack jokes, very contagious laughter and smile are several. It was not thought of that there were ups and downs but we all faced them together with strong thoughts.

Similar to them, our hearts have become home to the most amazing Avenue members. Although it is a long list of names, I mention some as a way of admiring their services: Nadha, Nishanthan, Vidun, Nilachi, Duli, Yashodhara, Sachula, Gayan, Methya, Navoda, but, Isurika, Vimanshani, Jithmini, Ashmi, Nadun, Arosha, Kavindi, Nuzha, Soaps, Bavindu, and Rashmi. When looking back to the past, we have found them in a different period of time when we need the enthusiasm of the team to show that is Avenue can do more than others say!

Taking a different turn, contribution is made directly to Rotatomorrow 5.0 with a mentoring project Swit. Here, I have the privilege of working with enthusiastic people including Akalanka, Wathsala, Vinod, Naduni, and Ashen. Their ability to handle many tasks does say one thing and that is “unity”!

Finally, but no less important, writing Maze gave me the most valuable opportunity to represent our club along with Adeesha and Himangi. Together we weave the best stories we can and fascinated by all readers.

I feel this is the time to turn another chapter, however, it is not as easy as it sounds!

Some of you will read my story and understand it in various ways but the only thing you need to remember is “Taking the challenge is the best!” Because it will teach you a lot. Therefore, I would like to thank the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya for giving me many opportunities to form new friendship together with invaluable experience and knowledge! May you shine as the smartest star forever!
