This is the way it starts … In my first year, I worked as a Member of PR and LB marketing from the Leo Club. During that time, when we carried out various projects, Dimithri Akka from Batch Senior we saw the PR material and asked if I would be interested in joining Rotaract. To be honest, I don’t know about that. However, to have fun, I said yes, I will come. At that time, about half of the term ended. After that, Dimithri Akka took me to Rotaract Club as a candidate for a member.

So, even so, I don’t know why I joined Rotaract in the middle of the term. When becoming a member of the club’s biggest project will begin, named Ignite Sri Lanka. So, now it happens, Dimithri Akka told me to apply for the position of PR coordinator. So, I applied. However, I have never worked on any project with people in this club before. By the way, after the interview, I was chosen. I had the opportunity to work with this project as the head of PR for the previous club PR coordinator. The project holds a meeting almost every day. 😂

We all gathered and created many things such as videos and leaflets, and succeeded in doing homework for the project. During that time, I met Vihaga Ayya, Dinithi Akka, and Vikhi Akka, along with others who were involved in the project, and we did the work beautifully.

When the term ended, Dimithri Akka told me to propose to the board of directors. So, I don’t have a big idea about that. However, I have worked at least a little on the Ignite Sri Lanka project with others who applied for the Board of Directors. So, with a group of very talented individuals, I then had the opportunity to work as a co-directure for digital media roads in the next period, under the leadership of President Vihaga Ayya.

So, what I have to say to others is, if the opportunity arises, surely take it; Even if not today, you will receive their prizes one day.
