In a world full of temporary solutions and fragmented assistance, Ignite Sri Lanka 1.0 emerged as a holistic and sincere revolution. Pioneered by a community service road from Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya, this project not only offers assistance – that Changed life.

Located against the beauty of Rural Giribawa, this project targets two villages that are ignored but excited: Thammannawa and Katupothana. With a vision to raise every aspect of rural life, Ignite 1.0 Open through six strong pillars – agriculture, clean water, education, health & sanitation, economy & entrepreneurship, and empowerment of women & youth.

Health & Sanitation, Economy & Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment of Women & Youths have been successfully completed in the last semester, while the three remaining sectors are implemented in this term.

The journey of impact, not just intention

With more than 45,000 hours of voluntary and commitment 24 excited membersThis is not just another project, it is a movement. Supported by RS. 5,080,000 In sponsors and fundraising, it has become one of the most intensive community development projects and has an impact this year.

1. Health & Sanitation: Making Mother, Protect Futures

Realizing the importance of maternal health, we distribute 20 nutritional care packages specifically designed for pregnant women. These kits are more than just a bundle, they are a message of treatment, hope, and dignity.

2. Empowerment of Women & Youth: Building Leaders for Tomorrow

We don’t stop today; We invest Tomorrow. Two dynamic one -day leadership camps carried out, aimed at maintaining trust, skills, and dreams in youth in the area.

3. Economy & Entrepreneurship: Reblap independence

Our investment in the palm industry does not only carry tools but also training. More than a six -month special program, women are selected from the community guided in business expertise and skills. They not only learn to create, they learn to lead. We also introduce them to new market opportunities, allowing generation of income and financial independence.

4. Agriculture: Developing hope

Water scarcity is a painful reality for Thammannawa farmers. Through a careful survey and testing of water, we form a hospital. 1.4 million Agro-Well, fully sponsored by CIC Holdings. This well is now maintaining land cultivation and rejuvenating agricultural expectations.

5. Clean water: from contaminated to clean

Access to clean drinking water becomes a reality for 250 families in the Katupothana by installing a 750L/day water purification system, sponsored by the Shraddha charity organization. For many people, it was their first taste about safe drinking water, something we often underestimate.

6. Education: Putting the Foundation

In a partnership with the Dilmy Ranaweera Foundation, we donated a printing machine to Sri Siddhartha’s elementary school. We also provide educational materials, renovated classrooms, re -painted schools, and put up new nameplates for Thammannawa and Kokmaduwa schools. In particular, the roof of the Thammannawa elementary school is also fully renovated, ensuring a safer learning environment.
